converging lives was a collaboration between visual artist marie brett, musician kevin o'shanahan and the alzheimer's society of ireland's (asi) bandon daycare centre co cork, supported by the hse cork arts + health programme and west cork arts centre. the project resulted in a series of twelve audio-visual portraits of participants attending the bandon daycare centre and was short listed and received commendation at the international arts & dementia excellence awards ceremony in sydney, australia in 2012. an arts council / create aic research & development award enabled the artists to collaborate with epic productions, to produce this edited version of the converging lives series.
